New Renault Captur unveiled globally
The new Renault Captur gets updated front and rear fascia.

– It gets new petrol and diesel engines and a plug-in petrol hybrid powertrain.

The International-spec all-new Renault Captur has been unveiled for the global markets. The new Captur is based on the modular CMF-B platform and will come with an optional hybrid powertrain. The new Captur is 110mm longer at 4,228mm, while its wheelbase stands at 2639mm, an increase of 20mm.

The new Renault Captur gets an SUV look, however, the overall silhouette is that of a crossover. The Captur features updated front and rear fascia and an all-new interior. The car gets a new front fascia that includes the new C-shaped LED headlights, a redesigned bumper and a new grille. The profile is highlighted by a chrome beltline, while the rear gets the C-shaped LED taillights and a new rear bumper.
Top-spec versions ride on 18-inch machined alloys, while the lower models are available with 16- and 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the new Renault Captur features an all-new cabin with a completely redesigned dashboard and colour-coded interiors. There’s a new three-spoke steering wheel, a vertically-stacked infotainment system and a fully-digital instrument cluster. The car also gets a Bose audio system and it also gets connectivity features via the EASY CONNECT suite.
Powering the new Renault Captur are a range of petrol and diesel engines, while a plug-in hybrid will join the line-up in 2020. The petrol line-up includes 1.0L and 1.3L turbocharged engines that develop between 100bhp to 155bhp and come mated to a six-speed manual and seven-speed DCT. The turbocharged diesel motors produce between 95bhp to 115bhp. From 2020, the petrol engines will also come with an E-TECH plug-in hybrid system.
